Court hears arguments on violent video games

WASHINGTON – Retailers who sell the latest "Halo" or "Call of Duty" video game to children would face substantial fines under a law being considered by the Supreme Court.
The justices will hear arguments Tuesday on whether to reinstate a California ban that would make it illegal for retailers to sell or rent violent video games to anyone under the age of 18. Parents could buy the games and give them to their children, but retailers who sold them to minors could face fines up to $1,000.
Supporters of the law say violent games are harmful to children.
But video-game companies say it's a First Amendment issue. And the lower courts have said California lacked enough evidence to prove violent games cause psychological harm to minors.

Drug experts say alcohol worse than crack or heroin

It is good that now, at last, there is some scientific confirmation that alcohol is worse than drugs (crack, heroin). Of course, you don't need scientists to tell you that if you "start" drinking as a professional you will soon face one of the most difficult of the problems, loneliness.

Hi

You can call me butter lion. Or you can use my first name.

Today I'm not feeling like talking about the weather. It is so un-welcoming that not even rabbits nor squirrels get out. I will say something about Jobs.
Of course, I mean Steve Jobs. He seems very upset these days because... Hmmm. Why? Because Google is developing this Android OS and it is driving him crazy (obviously. If not then why coming out to the press?). It is something he would like to eradicate, to save us from. And we appreciate that, a man standing for us, fighting for us, the consumers. Because this is what he does, isn't it, expressing his opinion as our opinion. That is because only a consumer can tell if an OS is worth being developed or not. Only a person who uses it, who finds help in it and who becomes to need it can say that.
Ohh, but wait. He is not a consumer, he is the competition. And his opinion is not my opinion. And why not having both OSs, his and Google's? Is he planning something?
